Friday 23rd November, the restored 16th century historic archway at Scone Palace was unveiled by William Murray in a private ceremony not open to the public to celebrate the reconstruction of the archway damaged in a tragic accident in September 2010 when a contractors van crashed into it.
The restoration project has taken stonemasons and sculptors a little over over two years to complete using drawings photographs and plaster cast models to recreate carvings from the ancient original heraldic designs.
Scone Palace is better known as the site where Scotland's Kings were crowned and the original home to the Stone of Destiny.
